This is the world's largest K'Nex ball-moving machine. The previous world's largest ball-moving machine? "The forklift it takes to get my balls out of bed in the morning." Hey -- that's what I was gonna say! This 100,000+ piece K'nex machine stands 23-feet tall, 40-feet long and is currently on display in Bloomington, Minnesota, confirming my suspicion there isn't a whole lot to do in Bloomington, Minnesota. Keep going for a one-minute "teaser" trailer, because apparently K'nex ball-moving machines have teaser trailers now.
This is the stained glass octopus chandelier lovingly crafted by Mason Parker. Mason is selling the piece for $18,000. For reference, that's $18,000 more than my decorative lighting budget will allow. The lamp measure four-feet across at its widest and the tentacles are removable for easy transport and/or pirate themed dinner theater. *swinging plastic cutlass* Yaaaar, the Kraken attacks! "Stop standing in your chair and eat your salad." But moooooooooom. Keep going for one more shot of the octopus's garden lit up at night.
This is the $42 Jake the Dog sherlock pipe blown and sold by Etsy seller endioDesigns. The pipes are made to order though, so if you want a different style of eyes or something I'm sure they'd be willing to work with you. My coworkers? My coworkers proved unwilling to work with me and quit to start a company together. But who's laughing now?! "You? Wait -- Are you crying?" Their office pool won the lotto jackpot, man. The first f***ing week they were gone! "Jesus." I don't want to go on. Keep going for a couple more shots from different angels (angles).
This is an underwater video taken from the back of a speeding boat of a sailfish trying to bludgeon bait fish with its elongated bill and eat them. He has zero success, probably because all the fish are fake. If I were him I would have jumped into the back of the boat and speared somebody. But that's just me and I don't take kindly to being tricked. The last roommate who hid behind a door to jump out and scare me? They'll never find him. Keep going for the video, but skip to 0:30 - 1:30 for all the action.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Disney Fantasy Shop, Japanese retailer Belle Maison is releasing these Disney princess bra and underwear sets. Because what better way to celebrate an anniversary than with an underwear party? I can't think of one. It's also a great way to celebrate a Friday. "You're in your boxers, aren't you?" Nope -- tighty blueies. Each princess's set will set you back about $40 and there's no doubt in my mind some ladies will be wearing them as Halloween costumes next year. Hopefully to my party. Keep going for a closeup of each and what the Cinderella and Belle ones look like on actual ladies.
This is a shot of the Simpsons house LEGO set (due out later this year) leaked by Eurobricks forum member Carlos S. The set contains 2,523 pieces, six minifigs, and the house hinges open dollhouse style to reveal furnished rooms. That's pretty much all the info I've got. That, and a new couple moved into my apartment building over the weekend. I give them a month. Nobody but me and this one other guy have ever lasted more than a month (I suspect he's a serial killer). Keep going for a shot of the back of the box showing the house's interior.
